Position Summary

Freelance Graphic Designer, Contractor

RISE is seeking Freelance Graphic Designers to support multiple creative projects. This is a part-time contractor role earning an hourly rate and reporting to the Sr. Director, Communications.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design creative assets that appeal to a diverse audience, including but not limited to athletes; college and high school students, coaches and administrators; sports professionals, executives and fans.
  • Work directly with the RISE project lead to develop creative assets, including but not limited to digital flyers, sell sheets, resource guides, social media templates, info graphics, event branding and collateral
  • Edit existing content for use on various social media platforms and website
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of typography, color, composition and layout
  • Work efficiently and within project deadlines

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Expertise with design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign) and Canva
  • Demonstrated experience in both digital and print design; video editing experience a plus but not required
  • Ability to work within established brand standards
  • Fast-working, professional, dependable, and collaborative
  • Quick learner with a close attention to detail
  • Comprehensive understanding of social media trends and various platform requirements (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube)
  • A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and the overall mission of RISE
  • An awareness of current events, particularly as it relates to matters of sport and race
Compensation:

Contractors are paid an hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
