Position Summary

As a RISE intern and participant in the Summer 2021 RISE Internship Program you will contribute to RISE's work promoting social advocacy through sports. Your responsibilities will vary by department and are detailed below. All interns will complete project-based work in collaboration with employees in several departments across the organization. The Summer 2021 RISE Internship Program will include professional development events and support, including connection and collaboration with fellow interns, and additional developmental programming including an orientation and goal-setting.

Collaboratively, the team of six interns will work on a RISE Sports Community Engagement Project to present to all RISE staff at the conclusion of their internship. It will combine learnings each intern gains from their internship responsibilities and be an opportunity to share their ideas based on their experiences. Compensation and Logistics:

All internship positions will be paid at $17/hr. Candidates will work approximately 40 hours per week. Most work will occur during the regular business hours of RISE of 9am to 5pm ET, but work may occasionally be required on nights and weekends. This internship is scheduled to start Monday June 7, 2021 and conclude Friday August 13, 2021.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic, our expectation is that this internship will be fully remote. If circumstances improve and we are able to return to our New York or Detroit offices, you will be given notice. We will inquire about your comfortability with travel and relocation during the interview process. RISE covers all approved work related travel expenses. A stipend may be provided if relocation to New York is required.
